Statement

The concept of Space Constellation consists of two Black Lines dividing the gallery space. Black Line 1 is dividing the hight of the wall into an upper and a lower part. Black Line 2 is creating a big rectangle on the floor separating it from the wall, and interacting with the visitors. Both Black Lines are structuring the space in a minimalistic way articulating the difference between wall and floor.

The Panels are placed in the specific field below Black Line 1. They consist of acrylic painted on anodized aluminium. The unpainted parts show the plain industrial material of the supporting material changing according to light and shadow or by movement of the visitors. The different choice of painted form, size and color is giving each Panel its individual character, and the mode of practice at the same time an aspect of unity.

Space Constellation with Black Lines and Panels, is playfully activating an interaction between space, works, visitor and observer, creating a new quality of perception between concrete and abstract art and reality.

「Space Constellation（空間構成）」のコンセプトは、ギャラリー空間を分割する２本の黒い線（Black Lines）により構成される。黒線１は高い壁を上部と下部とに分けている。床に大きな矩形（四辺形）を形成している黒線２は、壁から床をゆるやかに仕切りつつ、来場者とも相互に作用を引き起こしている。これら２本の黒線により空間はミニマリスト的な手法で構築され、壁と床の差異が明確に示される。

パネル作品は黒線１の下という特定されたフィールドの中に配置されている。パネルは、陽極酸化アルミニウムにアクリル彩色を施してできている。未彩色の部分では支持体となっている工業用メタルの面がそのまま見えていて、ギャラリー空間の光と影、あるいは入場者の動きにより変化を見せる。彩色に異なる形状・サイズ・色を選択することで、それぞれのパネルに個性を与えると同時に、制作様式としての統一感をもたらす。

「Space Constellation with Black Lines and Panels（黒い線とパネルによる空間構成）」は、空間・作品・入場者・観察者の間の相互作用を遊び心も豊かに活性化させ、具象的そして抽象的な芸術表現および現実との間に、新たな知覚の質を生み出している。
